The Pierre-Gilles de Gennes Institute (IPGG) is recruiting creative young scientists for independent Junior Research positions.

IPGG is a new institute in the center of Paris gathering physicists, chemists and biologists, inspired by the vision of Pierre-Gilles de Gennes about the importance of interfaces between disciplines, or between fundamental science and innovation. The aim of IPGG is to foster synergies, stimulate collaborations and encourage scientific risk in the field of microfluidics, thanks in particular to a world-class multidisciplinary technological platform. IPGG benefits from the highly stimulating scientific environment of its four institutional founding partners: ESPCI, Institut Curie, ENS and Chimie ParisTech.

Applications in all fields relevant to fundamentals and/or uses of microfluidics are eligible. Themes complementary to our current research portfolio, high risk or out of mainstream will be especially welcome.

An initial start up package and salary will be provided for two years with possibilities of prolongation for an additional year.

Candidates should submit a personal statement explaining their interest in joining IPGG, a 3-4 page research plan, a full CV detailing publications, patents, invited conferences, awards, grants, training and teaching experience, and contact details of 3 individuals for reference letters.

The complete application should be submitted at: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/8815.

Applications will be accepted until April 10th, 2017.
